School and District Audits/Reviews

The Kentucky Department of Education is required by KRS158.6455 to conduct audits/reviews of schools that fail to meet their achievement goals for each biennium.  Additionally, audits/reviews fulfill the requirements for SEA technical assistance to districts in Tier 3 consequences in accordance with NCLB Section 1116 (c)(9) and the Kentucky Consolidated State ESEA Application, June 10, 2002. The Scholastic Audit process, which uses the Standards and Indicators for School Improvement document as the measure of a school's preparedness for improvement, may be one of the most important things we do on behalf of both high and low performing schools in the coming ten years.
