The Kentucky Department of Education’s mission and the mission of the Office of Next Generation Schools and Districts  is to prepare all Kentucky students for next-generation learning, work and citizenship by engaging schools, districts, families and communities through excellent leadership, service and support.

In the Office of Next Generation Schools and Districts (ONGSD) we are committed to customer service in providing guidance and support for schools and districts in a) Closing Gaps, B) Increasing College and Career Readiness and C) increasing the Graduation Rate in Kentucky.

In our office are housed the Division of Consolidated Plans and Audits and the Division of Student Success.  Priority Schools and Focus Schools should find support for helping identify best practices to assist teachers in helping students reach their goals through purposeful planning and alignment of resources based on relevant data and information.  Many of the Federal Programs are housed in our office as well as School Based Decision Making and School and District Improvement Planning, Digital Learning and Alternatives.

Statewide goals for students are our goals.  We are here to serve, support and guide your school and district.  We look forward to making connections with you through this website and evidence of our work and collaboration with you.
